Our volunteers are at the heart of what we do.
Our volunteers are out in the community listening to people to find out if health and care is working for them.
Whether you want to gain valuable work experience, help improve care in your community or learn new skills, there are lots of ways you can join us to make a real difference in Barnet.
Our volunteers support us in many different ways. From speaking to local people to find out what they think about health and care in Barnet, to using these views to influence those who run services, volunteers play an important role at Healthwatch Barnet.
I have benefited from the NHS over the years and want to put something back. Healthwatch gives me the opportunity to help improve our local services in Barnet. An opportunity to help clinical staff/administrators help us.
- Stewart, Healthwatch Barnet volunteer

Having worked in the care sector for a long time I feel volunteering with Healthwatch is a good use of my knowledge and skills. As an Enter and View volunteer I like the opportunity to visit care homes to highlight good practice as well as to identify where improvements are needed within a short time frame if necessary.
