Board Members
Alex Bretherton
Alex works as an Expert by Experience at BEH Mental Health NHS Trust utilising his lived experience to represent and advocate the views of service users to the Barnet Senior Management Team. He takes part in involvement and co-production work across the NHS Trust which includes interview panels for new staff, co-running the People's Forum, tender panels, workshops, committees and currently co-producing the Carer's Strategy for the Trust. He aspires to be a literary author and plays the piano and clarinet."
Auren Ghazal
Auren Ghazal is 47 years old and has lived in UK for 30 years, he is originally from Israel. Auren works for a company that provides hotel supplies. He loves his job and communicating with everybody.
George Linskey
George Linskey is the fire Warden at his Church. He joined the Healthwatch Barnet board because he wants to use his experience of Autism and to make sure that healthcare services in Barnet, such as GPs and hospitals put autism at the forefront of their decision making.
Janice Tausig
A volunteer with Healthwatch Barnet, Janice is aware of the important role of raising awareness of health and social care issues, grounded in an independence, openness and transparency.
Louise Marshall
Louise has a professional working background as an Adult General Nurse and as a Social Work Assistant with Services for People with Disabilities. She helped set up the BBC's unique Disability Programme Unit to facilitate members of the public with disabilities to train in all aspects of TV production.
She is currently employed as a Peer Worker with the Barnet Crisis Home Treatment Team at Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust. She specialises in the enablement and recovery model within mental health and uses her own lived experience to support the recovery of others. She is passionate about ensuring we have a health and social care system that is accessible to all Barnet residents.
Stewart Block
Stewart was introduced to Healthwatch through his GP’s Patient Participation Group. He was semi-retired from business and it provided an opportunity to experience a different type of organisation. His first projects were with the Enter and View programme and with health-related mystery shopping exercises. Current Healthwatch Barnet projects Stewart is working on include the effects of Long Covid and the impact of remote GP Consultations. He says his reward for this voluntary work is seeing the improvements that we can bring.
Jennifer Pearl
Jennifer is the Chair of the Healthwatch Barnet Advisory Board. She works as an Expert by Experience for the Care Quality Commission. She supports inspections of hospitals, care homes and domiciliary care agencies giving people who use services and their relatives a voice in the inspection process. Jennifer also is on Think Local Act Personal national co-production Advisory Group and is the Co-Chair of Inclusion Barnet.

Code of Conduct
Healthwatch Barnet has a duty to protect the name, brand and reputation of Healthwatch and Inclusion Barnet. The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to set the standards of behaviour expected from all Board Members. The following Code of Conduct will be actively monitored and Board Member not complying may be required to step down.
